St Paddy’s Day Pud

St Paddy’s Day Pud

This week you guys have the luck of the Irish, because Bash is back and to celebrate St Paddy’s Day she will be showing you how to make this melt in the middle, super chocolatey pud.

Her oozy, boozy Guinness chocolate fondant, combines rich dark chocolate with the classic dark Irish stout to create an utterly delicious dessert.

So kick off the celebration this Wednesday with a sweet tooth tingling salute to our buddies across the water.

For your St Paddy’s Day pud you will need:

  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 100g butter
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 150g plain flour
  • 100ml Guinness

Prepping your pud

• Line your rings or moulds (makes 5) with butter twice and then leave in the fridge whilst you prep your other ingredients.
• Melt your dark chocolate and butter over a Baine Marie.
• Then whisk together your sugar and eggs.
• Next whisk in your flour.
• Then combine with your chocolate mix, finally add your 100ml Guinness.
  •  Next pour into your lined rings (or moulds).
  •  Then pop in the oven for 9 minutes at 180 degrees.
  • When cooked leave to sit for a minute to loosen from the ring.
  • Then it’s time to tuck in! We recommend serving this delicious dessert with fresh cream or ice cream.

Enjoy!
