Rich’s Beef Burgers

Rich’s Beef Burgers

What is that? Is that a glimpse of the British summertime we can see in the distance? Which can only mean one thing, it’s time to dust off the deckchairs, dig out the parasol (yes and remove the cobwebs) and have a BBQ.

And a BBQ would not be complete without a burger, that is why Head Chef at Foxhill Manor, Rich Thorpe, has donned his shorts, given his sunglasses a quick once over and is ready to show you his recipe for the perfect beef burgers.

So grab the baby gem and brioche buns, fire up the barbie and in good old fashioned British-style wait for it to rain (half joking).

Method:

Step 1

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

Step 2

Weigh into 140g balls.

Step 3

Flatten out into evenly shaped patties.

Step 4

Then BBQ (or grill them) until the juices run clear and meat is cooked through.

Step 5

Then tuck in.

I melt mature cheddar onto the burger whilst still on the BBQ. Then I eat with a brioche sesame seed bun, sliced baby lettuce and red onion.

If you’re feeling brave I finish mine with a spicy sauce, I always have a bottle of Sriracha kicking about.
