The next stage of the Farncombe Story

Martin has been appointed culinary director of the estate following his departure from Whatley Manor after a 13 year tenure in which he held two Michelin Stars for nine years. He will now oversee all four restaurants on the estate, The Fish Hotel, The Garden Room, The Potting Shed and Foxhill Manor.

“In Farncombe I believe I have found a company that is the perfect match to my values and aspirations,” says Burge.

“It is hugely exciting to be part of the next chapter and together with the team see the estate reach its full culinary potential.”

During Martin’s 27-year career, he has worked in Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and L’Ortolan and The Landmark Hotel under John Burton Race.
