Angie Sayer

I am a specialist ceramicist and have been teaching Ceramics, Art & Design and Technology for over 25 years.
I was Head of Department at King’s College School Cambridge for many years.

At present I am ceramicist in residence at New Brewery Arts in Cirencester, where I have my own studio and teach Ceramics to adults and children in the centre.

I have always been a maker and feel that making my own work and teaching is beneficial both for my creative development and for the students to be taught by a maker.

I am currently exploring thrown and changed shapes to create unique forms either decorative or as planters or lights. These stoneware pieces are assembled singly or combined to produce a range of flame inspired creations.
For many years I have created unique forms including wood fired raku lighting, porcelain figures and earthenware majolica ware.
