Liz Eyre

“Passion, Passion, Passion – my passion for the stories around those in the wine industry. The real tales of amazing individuals who through wars, pestilence, depressions, vagaries of climate and commercial pressure have survived to have made or who are making stunning products from such natural source.” Combining her own passion for history and wine, biologist, accountant, IT manager Liz finally found an all-absorbing subject, which she can never master. Daily she uncovers new stories, from the past and in the present, of innovation and commercial courage around the globe.

Building on a WSET Diploma and the Institute of Master of Wine course Liz has spent 15 years following this love of diverse cultures, geography, geology, vine growing, wine making and commercial cunning as a journalist for life style magazines, a wine writer for Webster Publishing (Oz Clarke’s Wine Guide, Wine Atlas and Encyclopaedia and CD Roms: Central Europe, Western Mediterranean, North Africa, Asia) and Guide Hachette - Bordeaux, Provence, Corsica, a wine educator for the CIVB and CIVC and wine examiner for WSET.
