Digital Photography: The Great Outdoors

This weekend course is all about ways to photograph on location in the Great Outdoors: Image-making is always affected by the available light, and photographer Nick Meers will take students out into the beautiful grounds of Farncombe and share his approaches to location photography to make the best use of it: From setting up the tripod, through lens selection, angles of view, exposure metering, to the use of filtration, we will search for various ways to adapt our image-making to whatever we find. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion of camera techniques, and by shooting some small projects students will have a chance to work to a brief, and to adapt their technique to the available light.
Bring suitable outdoor clothing and your camera’s instruction manual
