Aromotherapy & Massage Day: Top to Toe learn two styles of relaxing massage

End: 20 March 2010 at 4:30 p.m.

Today students will learn two varieties of massage and about the theraputic properties of 10 – 12 essential oils to be used during the day.
TOP – Indian Head Massage, a stress relieving massage given as a “dry” massage without any oils and no need to remove clothing.
TOE – Discover how to cherish your feet by combining aspects of reflexology and aromatherapy. A specialist foot cream is blended with individually selected essential oils to give this relaxing treatment.
Full notes are given so that knowledge learned can be applied at home. Teaching is by demonstration and individual support. Students should be prepared to pair up and work together.
Please bring:
One large bath towel – old because it will get oil on it.
One old pillow and case.
Comfortable clothes and shoes to work in, clothes may get oil on them after a massage.
Some people like to bring a dressing gown for changing.
People with long hair should bring something to tie it back.
Please leave jewellery at home as it must be removed when working.
Payment for lotions to take home must be by cheque or cash.
PLEASE NOTE:
All my courses involve the removal of some clothing when being massaged, the weekend course full body massage involves removal of all clothes except briefs. Participants are covered with towels at all times when receiving a massage.
Groups may be mixed male and female.
Participants are expected to partner up for working together.
Short fingernails are best for massaging.
Students with special needs are advised to contact Julia Baker as soon as possible via Farncombe so that specialist adaptations can be made where possible e.g. large print notes.
