Fun Design into Stitch Day Course

As a tutor coming from a science background, Diana is aware of how scary design can be. With this in mind she has developed delightful exercises to give confidence and enable students to produce beautiful pieces of work. Using some fun and simple techniques, paper shapes and a few pen lines, students will be able to create fascinating designs. These will be extended into fabric appliqué and free machine embroidery. If you are a beginner to free machine embroidery, a simple induction will be given.
Materials List:
Glue stick
Black pen
Small sketchbook
Sewing machine
Basic sewing kit
Black cotton or polyester machine thread
.5m calico or curtain lining
8” embroidery ring
Coloured papers and fabrics to create the designs will be provided.
Extra cost per student for materials provided £2
