Art Day Course: Watercolour Pencil Techniques

This is a course aimed at beginners and will introduce students to the various skills and techniques that can be achieved with the watercolour pencil. Topics covered will include shading, texture, colour mixing and sketching trees, skies and buildings in watercolour pencil. The tutor will give hands on demonstrations and will be on hand to provide group and individual help. By the end of the course the students will have completed a number of exercises using the watercolour pencils.
Materials List
1 x tin of assorted watercolour pencils (any of the popular artists quality makes)
1 x watercolour sketch pad (140lb not surface) or heavy weight cartridge pad, A4 or A3
Pencil sharpener
White plastic eraser
1 x size 4 or 6 round watercolour brush (any cheap nylon brush will suffice)
